Anne is of Canadian descent, and she is the director, founder and English Department head at English Girona. Anne majored in English Literature from Langara College in Vancouver, BC, and later on, obtained a TEFL certificate. She is also a Cambridge Speaking Examiner and nowadays is taking both an English Teaching course at Arizona State University and studying a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She has been teaching English for over 12 years and during this time, she has worked with different professionals, peoples of all ages, and levels as an English teacher. As of today, at our academy, she is in charge of training students whom are aiming at different official examinations.
Albert is the Catalan and Spanish teacher at English Girona. He is also the co-founder of the school and management's right hand. Albert has a Spanish Teaching Certificate as well as a TEFL certificate for teaching English as a second language. Nowadays, he is finishing the specialized TESOL course at Arizona State University. He also teaches Japanese to beginners.
Aina is a specialized linguist in Catalan, Spanish and English languages who has recently finished a Master in Secondary Education. She has been teaching English for ten years and has recently become a Cambridge Speaking Examiner. As for her interest in other linguistic fields, Aina has also been working as a researcher in a language lab, and as a tutor for the Master in Language Disorders from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
Tèrése has been working as a French teacher for eight years. She is from the little town of Ansouis, and she moved to Girona two years ago. She had previously been working as a translator and teacher in a language school in Barcelona. Tèrése teaches both adults and children.
Albert is an English teacher who has been living in Australia for two years, one of them studying intensively the English language at the International House Gold Coast. He has the Advanced (CAE, C1) certificate, and he is currently walking his starting steps into the English teaching experience.
Tolkien is English Girona's official pet. His name has granted him the position of elvish language teacher, only available in private lessons. He is also an expert in canine language, as he would say: "woof" "woof" "woof!"
